The universally accepted page length of a CV is no more than 2 A4 pages. It is possible to include all the relevant and important information on one page but if your CV is longer than 2 A4 pages you should consider cutting it down slightly. However, CVs for an academic post have no fixed length but it is always a good idea to keep your CV as short and relevant as possible.
Legally, under new Age Discrimination Laws you do not need to include your date of birth or disclose your age on your CV. It is highly advised by Career experts that you should never include your date of birth on your CV.
It is highly recommended to use short sentences and bullet points throughout your CV as opposed to full sentences and paragraphs because employers scan CVs rather than reading them like a book
