Mr Oliver Berry
Restaurant Manager
Kelly’s Restaurant
27 Lunar Plaza
Kempston
KG28 9AQ

Dear Mr Berry,

Re: Assistant Chef (ID: JK43)

I am writing to apply for the Assistant Chef vacancy which I came across on indeed.com.

For the past 18 months, I have been working as an Assistant Chef at Tasty Treats. I am responsible for assisting and supporting the Head Chef in planning and cooking a variety of meals. Before that, I was a Catering Assistant at the same restaurant where I worked on a voluntary basis every Wednesday. These jobs have given me a great insight into how food is planned, prepared and served in the food and catering industry.

Since a young age, I have had a great love for food and cooking. I enjoy making delicious dishes and meals that bring great satisfaction to people. I am organised, punctual, as well as being systematic and methodical in my work activities. I strive for perfection in everything I do, and I can work well in a team as well as individually.

The reason for applying for this position at Kelly’s Restaurant is because of its 5* reviews on independent customer review websites. I have had the pleasure to dine at your restaurant, and it would be a great privilege if I could join your team of talented kitchen staff.

I would appreciate the chance to meet you to discuss my application further. Please do not hesitate to contact me on 07982 263 391 to arrange a suitable time to meet or if you require any further information. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours sincerely,
