Having seen your advert for Chemical Engineer, I am writing to be considered for this role as my formal education, experience and strengths enable me to be very successful in this role.
I recently graduated with a first-class honours degree in BEng Chemical Engineering from the University of Surrey. Some of the relevant modules that I studied include; Mass and Energy Balances, Chemical Engineering Design, Industrial Chemistry, Engineering Systems and Dynamics, Laboratory Projects and Understanding Thermodynamics. My formal education has given me a solid understanding of chemistry and its relationship to the production and use of chemicals, fuel, food, medicine, and other products. Additionally, as part of my degree programme I had to participate in numerous projects, presentations, demonstrations, lab exercises and other team working activities which have dramatically improved my people skills and ability to explain complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
I am particularly interested in working at UKC Refinery because of its excellent reputation in the industry. Your organisation plays a vital part in the refinement and distribution of chemical products, and I firmly believe that my contribution will be substantial and valuable.
