Dear Mr Cunningham,
Re: Librarian Vacancy (Job ID: IO2201)
I became really excited when I saw your Librarian vacancy advertised in the local newspaper today. I believe that with my skills and experience I would be an excellent fit for your organisation in general and this role in particular.
I graduated in 2014 with a first-class degree in Librarianship from the University of Essex, and I worked for a year as a Junior Librarian at Summerfield College. Both my education and work experience have given me a great insight into the purpose, function and processes of libraries. I am trained in all the standard library information and data management systems.
I have incredible organisational skills, and this is evident by the different projects that I have planned and carried out in my current job. I also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a great passion for research. In my current job, I have organised library events, open days, and tours. I have the ability to interact with people of all ages and all backgrounds; given me the opportunity to help every member of my community.
City Library is an organisation that I have always wanted to be part of as it has such an important place within the city, and it means so much to me personally as well as to the community as a whole. I am confident that I can bring my enthusiasm and passion for literature to this role as well as my penchant for research and administration.

Mr Charles Wallace
Head of Information Services
Bryman College
17 Steel Bright Road
Bakewell

Dear Mr Wallace,
Re: Librarian (Ref: 872P)
I saw your recent vacancy for a Librarian in my local newspaper, and I would be very interested in applying for this role.
I am currently working as a Library Assistant at the London Library, where I have been working for the past 18 months. I thoroughly enjoy my job, and I have become an expert in the use of various IT, information and management systems utilised by the library. This job has also further developed both my customer service and organisational skills.
I am a reliable and courteous individual with a burning passion for knowledge and information. I regularly read, sometimes five books per week, and I am familiar with all the famous writers and their works. Additionally, I have also gained excellent computer skills after completing my Level 3 CLAiT qualification.
It has always been a dream of mine to become a Librarian ever since I was in school. I firmly believe that it is vital to encourage young people to read as it helps further their growth as individuals and makes them more productive members of society. It would be my mission to promote the use of the Library through setting up events and workshops for the students to attend and benefit from, making me an excellent addition to your College.
Please find attached my CV for your consideration, and I look forward to meeting with you to further discuss my candidacy for this role. Thank you for your time.
Yours sincerely,
