Thank you for returning my phone call yesterday; it was a pleasure speaking with you. As previously mentioned, I have a keen interest in the above vacancy, and I wish to be considered for this position.
I am currently working as a Supply Chain Manager at PLD Goods, where I am organising and overseeing the delivery of commercial goods from the manufacturers to various businesses around the UK. My primary responsibilities include; planning transportation routes, tracking shipments and deliveries to and from the warehouse, managing stock at multiple storage sites, liaising with suppliers, customers and logistics staff, producing documentation, and giving presentations to clients and the board of directors.
I have a great passion for logistics and the transportation of goods and materials. I graduated with a 2:1 degree in BSc Supply Chain and Logistics Management from the University of Essex. My degree programme has given me a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain, something which is essential for this role. Additionally, I possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and I have the natural ability to lead and inspire individuals and groups of people.
