Dear Mr Hughes,
Re: Geneticist (ID: RU990)
I was delighted when I saw that you had advertised the above vacancy at your company. Working as a Geneticist at Foundation of Sciences would be a fantastic careers opportunity, and I am enthusiastic that I would be a great fit for this role.
I have graduated with a PhD in Genetics from the University of Liverpool and worked for six months as a Research Assistant at the same university where I published a dozen research papers related to global medical advancements and specific genetic conditions. This has allowed me to expand my understanding of the complex theoretical aspects of genetic studies, something which will greatly benefit me in this advertised role.
I have worked on a part-time basis as a Genetics Specialist at Warwick Hospital where I worked alongside a team of highly specialised consultants in investigating, diagnosing and treating various genetic conditions. I have also worked with patients who suffer from rare metabolic conditions and continue to assistant and monitor them on a regular basis.
I am particularly interested in being part of Foundation of Sciences because it has an excellent reputation for producing defining pieces of research related to science and medicine. Having completed my PhD thesis on the topic of Biochemical Genetics, I have been able to gain extensive experience on how to use data analysis software and record complex laboratory results. I believe I would be able to bring a unique contribution to your organisation and help effectively search for breakthroughs in this highly evolving field.
I have attached my CV with this covering letter which outlines my knowledge, experience and education in more depth. Thank you for your consideration, and I eagerly look forward to speaking with you soon to discuss how I could contribute to the success of your organisation.
Yours sincerely,
